This is Loki, he's nearly 3 years old, a Jack Russell, possibly crossed with a Beagle.

Loki has an abundance of energy.  His favourite place is the beach and he loves to dive in and out of tidal pools or run through the lapping waves. When Loki goes off the lead, he needs to be walked in an area without other people, such as an open expanse of beach.
Loki has already got plenty of basic commands and some fancier tricks too! He can sit, wait, stay, lay down, cross over, fetch, paw, spin, weave, walk with me and lie in your bed. Now that's a clever doggy!

Loki needs time to adapt and feel confident in his new home. We are looking for an adult only home where he can be relaxed knowing that his personal space will be respected. Loki doesn't like to be picked up, it makes him anxious. Loki will bark at strangers and visitors - we're looking for a owner who is prepared to commit to multiple visits with Loki for him to make friends and then to work on his fears around people.

Loki has previously lived with another dog (see photos) and they got along really well. Loki loves other dogs and his favourite game is “Chase” or “Tug”. He is great off lead with excellent recall. On lead, he can be a bit temperamental with larger dogs and often puts his hackles up and growls.

Loki is slightly taller than the average JRT but is still a small dog. He has lived with two cats and gets along fine with them.

Poor Loki suffers from dust mite, pollen and grass mite allergies. He needs to be walked on the beach or prom, well away from grass, and given a shower down after his walks to alleviate his symptoms. Loki requires daily medication for his condition which you can chat to us about before meeting him.

To adopt Loki, please complete our online adoption application form and we will be in touch. We welcome applications from Lancashire but unfortunately we are unable to consider applications from further afield. Please submit your application before requesting to meet our dogs - visits are by appointment only. Please note the Homeless Hounds cannot rehome dogs to families with children under 5 years.

Thank you
