House Trained

Maddie is a loving and playful girl who is still very puppyish in her ways. We think Maddie is best suited to being the only dog (or with a submissive male dog) in an experienced adult only home.

Maddie is very strong on the lead and reactive to other dogs, please consider this when thinking about adopting Maddie. If you are able to walk her in a private area or very quiet area, walks will be much more enjoyable for both of you. She can walk nicely whilst wearing her head collar which offers additional control.

Maddie's favourite toy for playing and retrieving is a Kong Jumbler - she is a chewer and will chew other toys and items that are left in her reach. Maddie is crate trained so can be left in her crate when home alone. She is house trained and very clean, she also travels well in the car.

Maddie can react to certain things in the house... noises, dogs on the TV,  sudden movements or cats outside. She will bark and jump up towards the thing that has made her spook. It would be wonderful if we could find Maddie a home that will embrace training Maddie through these issues and encourage her to relax. Maddie is also uncomfortable with hand gestures such as pointing fingers and she needs to be reassured when being touched around her back legs and tail.

To adopt Maddie, please complete our online adoption application form and we will be in touch. We welcome applications from the North West but unfortunately we are unable to consider applications from further afield. Please note that Homeless Hounds cannot rehome dogs to families with children under 5 years.

Thank you
