***SMOKIE IS NOW RESERVED thank you! ***

Smokie was originally a stray in Spain and came over to the UK in 2014. Smokie is staying with one of our lovely foster carers, this is what she says about him.....

"Smokie has been one of the calmest foster dogs we have ever had.  Do not get me wrong he has plenty of energy for walks, he can be strong on the lead but easy enough to pull back. He is very nosey.

Smokie came in with terrible teeth which have been cleaned up and look good as new. He is fully house trained and comes when you call him in the or garden. It is obvious he has had little to no training, he does not sit or understand what it means and is excited when he sees people come in, he does the cutest spin on the spot and stands on his back legs like a meercat in excitement. He is careful not to put his paws on you though.

Smokie gets along very well with the rest of our pack, our older female terrier, younger male terrier and younger but bigger Staffy cross. He has previously been living with two cats although he has not been cat tested yet. He has been living with our 7 year old boy and 10 year old girl and he has been perfect with them.

He shows absolutely no signs of aggression, he only makes noise to greet you or a funny huffing noise to get your attention if you are ignoring him.

Smokie is very good in the house, he will not usually get on furniture without permission and he will sleep in his bed all night long. He was very wary of stairs at first as he was used to being kept outside and being in a nice warm house was a new experience to him. He was also scared of going through doorways. We have worked with him on this and now he is great going through doors but still a little hesitant with stairs and needs some encouragement.

Smokie is very affectionate and loves being stroked and petted, he will nudge your hands with his nose to get attention. He will be the perfect addition to any home that can give him the attention he wants and deserves, the walks he needs and all the love he asks for. "
