Description

Kaya is in need of a new home because she and one of the other dogs in the house have fallen out. Kaya gets along nicely with the other dogs at home and she's dog friendly on walks too.

Kaya is a happy girl - she greets people nicely and enjoys human company and a good fuss. Kaya takes treats nicely but she will need to be fed separately if she lives with other dogs because she becomes over excited around mealtimes and will guard her food if they are in the vicinity and she will guard her empty bowl too.

Kaya walks well on the lead and is very friendly towards people she meets on walks. She is good with other dogs and can walk with them, whilst she is both on or off the lead. Kaya prefers male dogs.  Kaya is used to being bathed and is a good girl. She can be travel sick in the car so her owner doesn't feed her before any planned car journeys.

Kaya would be best suited to a home where someone is around for the majority of the day - at the moment she is being left home-alone for too long and this makes her stressed, which in turn results in destructive behaviour. She is OK to be left for a couple of hours but not much longer.

Kaya hasn't lived with children but she's good with the family's children when they come to visit. We don't know how Kaya will respond to cats, so we will be looking for a cat-free home for her. Thank you

To adopt Kaya, please complete our online adoption application form and we will be in touch. We welcome applications from the North West but unfortunately we are unable to consider applications from further afield. Please complete your application form before requesting to meet our dogs - visits are by appointment only. Please not that Homeless Hounds can not rehome dogs to families with children under 5 years old.

Thank you
