Description

Nanook is a lovely boy with his human friends - he likes to play bow in front of you, run off, then come back and jump up .... he's a good size dog so we wouldn't consider a home with younger children to avoid bumps and tumbles.

Nanook travels well in the car and likes to bob his head out of the window. In a house, he'll stand on his back legs to look out of the window too, so this seems to be his thing!

Nanook appears to have nice manners around food - he will take his treats gently and he keeps a respectful distance whilst you eat your food, even though he is interested.

Nanook has recently been groomed with us - he really didn't like having a bath , or being blown dry, but even though he was unhappy, he didn't show any signs of frustration towards the groomer (just towards the hair drying gadget!!). Nanook's new owner will need to keep on top of his grooming needs, with plenty of treat rewards and not allow his coat to get out of control.

Nanook is strong on the lead and he is not dog friendly, however, he doesn't seem concerned when other dogs walk past him in the kennels or play area. Huskys require a lot of exercise and they should be kept on lead unless in a secure area, so we are looking for an active family who will commit to long daily walks, every day of the year.

To adopt Nanook, please complete our online adoption application form and we will be in touch. We welcome applications from Lancashire but unfortunately we are unable to consider applications from further afield. Please submit your application before requesting to meet our dogs, visits are by appointment only. Please note that Homeless Hounds is unable to rehome dogs to families with children under 5 years.

Thank you
