** Dennis is now RESERVED ** We are no longer accepting applications for Dennis. Thank you

Dennis is a small Staffy who is full of nervous energy. The kennel environment doesn’t suit our Dennis and it makes him very stressed. He does bite at his lead as he leaves and returns to the kennels as a result, but once he’s out on a walk he is more relaxed.

Dennis takes his treats gently and enjoys them a lot too. He enjoys a game of chase and a play with balls and he loves a bit of a fuss from you too. We don’t think Dennis is dog friendly, he probably hasn’t had the socialisation in his early years, so perhaps consider some calm encounters, once he has built some confidence with you as his new family.

We are looking for an experienced and confident home for Dennis because he has bitten previously and he is a mouthy boy. He has had very little socialisation and the lockdown restrictions haven’t helped in that department. Dennis will need owners who are willing to work on his training. He jumps up at visitors coming in to the house and will nip, so physical barriers need to be in place and over time, some very careful training, at his pace, with lots of positive experiences to show him how to behave politely with visitors.

Dennis needs a special home where he can unwind and feel settled – adults only, without any other pets please.

To adopt Dennis, please complete our adoption application form. We welcome applications from across Lancashire but unfortunately we are unable to consider applications from further afield. Homeless Hounds cannot rehome dogs to families with children under the age of 5. Home check and adoption donation applies. Thank you
