*** Benji is now RESERVED. We are no longer accepting applications for Benji, thank you***

Benji is in need of a new home due to changes in his family’s circumstances. This is a very reluctant re-home.

Benji is a very friendly boy – he loves giving kisses and having cuddles. He’s a sensitive boy and will be by your side to offer comfort and companionship. He’s a sociable dog who loves the company of humans – lapping up all the attention and love you can give!

Benji enjoys playing with his toys with his family and he has the basic training commands under his belt, such as … ‘sit’, ‘lay down’, ‘paw’ and ‘come’. He’s a clever boy and has the potential to improve his repertoire of skills!

Benji would be most suited to someone who is at home for most of the day because he feels some anxiety when he is left alone. He sleeps very well on his own overnight but doesn’t like to be left alone in the house.

Benji will need to be the only pet in the home. He’s selective with other dogs – his owners followed the advice of a trainer and now Benji walks past other dogs on walks without making a fuss. His owners keep him on a lead most of the time because he can be a bit selective with his recall. He walks beautifully on the lead – have a look at the videos below.

Benji has spent time around children and is comfortable with them but we are looking for an adult only home for him, so that he can be the center of attention.

Benji is house trained. He’s been on holidays with his family, both to caravans and hotels and has been a good boy. Benji isn’t very keen on car travel, he does whine, but he otherwise he behaves nicely. He has good manners around food and is used to being bathed.

To adopt Benji, please complete our adoption application form. We welcome applications from across Lancashire but unfortunately we are unable to consider applications from further afield. Homeless Hounds cannot rehome dogs to families with children under the age of 5. Home check and adoption donation applies. Thank you
