***Charlie is now RESERVED. We are no longer accepting applications for Charlie, thank you***
Charlie is living with one of our wonderful foster carers and her two other dogs and two cats. Charlie has been fabulous with all of them and can happily live with other dogs or cats but he seeks human company more than animal company, so other pets isn’t essential. Can you find it in your heart to offer this older chap his forever home in his autumn years?
This is what Charlie’s foster carer says about him…
…”Charlie is a 15 year old Yorkshire Terrier with double cataracts but can still see and react to lights and shapes and will happily follow you in to the kitchen for a treat or 3. He currently has a sore mouth and is on pain relief for it as the vets are unsure as to whether it would be appropriate to do a dental given his age etc.(will be speaking to them again regarding this)
He’s a happy little soul and will happily go to his own bed or sit on the sofa with you. He is happy to be left for short periods of times but occasionally does have the odd accident, although this has improved massively. He is building his confidence and trust up slowly he has learnt sit and paw for treats. He isn’t really a toy player but will be silly with you when the mood takes him, especially when excited. Travels Beautifully in the car around will¬† sit in the passenger seat and not be fidgety or whiny.¬† He enjoys gentle walks and really is a sweet boy. With usual age related wobbles and gripes.”
We would like to find Charlie a home without younger children so that he can have plenty of calm and quiet.
To adopt Charlie, please complete our adoption application form. We welcome applications from across Lancashire but unfortunately we are unable to consider applications from further afield. Homeless Hounds cannot rehome dogs to families with children under the age of 5. Home check and adoption donation applies. Thank you
