Jack is living in one of our amazing foster homes.

Jack is a cute terrier, who has two loves in his life…. going for a walk and sleeping on the back of a sofa or chair.
He enjoys cuddles on his terms and will put out a paw when he his ready for a tickle.

He can be a little possessive with toys but is easily distracted so doesn’t present as a big problem. He isn’t keen on attention being shared with others and will bark if his owners hug each other. He can be grumpy when you try to move him from his comfy place but again is easily coaxed so not a big issue.

Jack is lovely to walk and he walks on a harness and lead. He doesn’t have any road sense and would veer off into the road, so he does need keeping a close eye on and a short lead. Jack mixes well with other dogs but is wary with bigger dogs. He’s currently sharing his foster home with the resident dog.

Jack has recently started to play with toys which is a lovely development and a joy to watch!

Jack doesn’t like trips to the vet so needs to be muzzled for examination. He does take his medication well in food. He is not keen on being brushed so may need regular visits to groomers to keep his coat shorter.

Jack has a long-term skin condition which is well managed with medication but the cost of this will need to be taken into account by anyone considering adopting him.

When Jack came into HH, his coat was neglected and matted – Jack hates being groomed but he’s looking good now after his recent trim. Whilst he’s been with Homeless Hounds, he’s had 7 teeth removed on top of the 17 teeth that were already missing.

Jack is not happy with young children running around.  We think that Jack would be best suited to an active retired person.

To adopt Jack, please complete our adoption application form. We welcome applications from across Lancashire but unfortunately we are unable to consider applications from further afield. Homeless Hounds cannot rehome dogs to families with children under the age of 5. Home check and adoption donation applies. Thank you
