Kye is a small/medium Staffy cross who gets on well with everyone. He’s an affectionate dog who enjoys human contact and interaction.
We think Kye is stressed in kennels and he’s releasing a some of his frustration by being a bit silly on his lead – jumping up and grabbing at it. He will listen when he’s told and then he walks well on the lead – he can be strong but he’s not unmanageable. Kye is chewing as a stress release so hopefully he will relax once he is away from the kennel environment and in a stable routine with interesting things happening in his life.
Kye has lived with children in the past and we would consider families with children of 11 years + who are dog confident. We feel that he would be the happiest in a home where his people are at home most of the time.
Kye is treat orientated which is great for fine tuning his training. He does snatch at his treats at the moment, so the first trick is to teach him to be gentle.
In the car, Kye wants to sit on the driver’s lap, so he will definitely need to travel safely in a crate or behind a secure boot guard.
To adopt Kye, please complete our adoption application form. We welcome applications from across Lancashire but unfortunately we are unable to consider applications from further afield. Homeless Hounds cannot rehome dogs to families with children under the age of 5. Home check and adoption donation applies.
