***Mabel is now reserved, we are no longer accepting applications for Mabel. Thank you ***

Mabel is new to Homeless Hounds & is under assessment. You can still submit your application to adopt Mabel but please be aware that at this stage, we don’t know what type of home she will require.

This beautiful young girl has gone straight into foster where she is being assessed. Mabel appears to be suffering from previous trauma but our foster carer is working with her to overcome this.

This is what her wonderful foster mummy has to say about Mabel:

Falling in love with the beautiful Mabel is as easy as 1,2,3! Upon your first meet, Mabel will instantly want to please you. She is a gentle girl who loves to be in the company of us humans. Whilst at home, Mabel loves to give plenty of cuddles and kisses. She is super playful and loves nothing more than to be made a fuss of. She loves to play and is always mindful of being gentle during play time.

Mabel has come along way since her first day of fostering, flourishing well with all aspects of her training. She is starting to learn basic commands as well as learn right from wrong. Treats are always a good enough excuse for Mabel to participate in her house training! Mabel can be left alone if your family have work commitments. She has so far been left alone for 5 hours. She does not bark when she is left alone or chew on any furniture. She appears to of improved with her toileting as Mabel has very rare accidents to when she arrived into fostering a week ago.

Mabel has been on a countless number of walks, walks are definitely Mabel’s favourite times of the day. She is great on the lead and loves to sniff around her surroundings. Mabel is however reactive when passing other dogs therefore she must be kept on a lead at all times and must be walked by somebody strong enough to control her. When in the presence of other dogs, Mabel becomes severely distressed. It is important to keep her away from other dogs to keep Mabel calm and focused. Mabel can be taken on walks away from home as she an excellent passenger within the car. She may be excited and jumpy at first but she soon settles and watches the world go by on her travels.

Now that Mabel is settling into a home environment, she is certainly showing to be a little princess. She is full of character and has such a joyful personality. Although full of energy, she’s a typical bulldog who equally likes to sleep once she is all played out.

To adopt Mabel, please complete our adoption application form. We welcome applications from across Lancashire but unfortunately we are unable to consider applications from further afield.
