Pablo

Pablo is new to Homeless Hounds and is under assessment. You can apply for Pablo but be aware at this stage we don’t know what type of home he will require.

One of our amazing volunteers has been spending time with Pablo, and this is what she has to say about him.

On entering his pen Pablo is an excitable friendly high energy dog. He likes people and couldn’t wait to get out for a walk. He is very tactile but fast moving so you need to be just as fast getting the harness and lead on him. He does not know any commands like sit or paw but he is treat orientated in the pen but not so much out on the walk.
Out on the walk it’s a race to get to the bottom of the driveway then he settles to a slower pace.
He thoroughly enjoys his walk and has his own agenda so does not pay the walker any attention. Very hard to get pictures of him for these reasons. He is interested in other dogs and horses and cows and pulls towards them, but he is not reactive just curious. There is no connection or eye contact with you when he is walking but I put this down to him enjoying his walk so much.
In the play area he is a completely different dog. His eyes lit up when he saw the ball and loves to play run and fetch and never wants to stop. He has so much energy he can spring up very high in the air as seen in the videos. For this reason, his forever home should have high fences to stop him from jumping over them. He is a very happy dog, loves to play, is very intelligent and loves to be with people which will make him a good candidate for training. He is more attentive on a one to one basis in the pen especially with fresh chicken treats.
