***Polly is now RESERVED. We are no longer accepting applications for Polly, thank you ***

Polly is living with one of our amazing foster carers. This is how they describe Polly….

…”When I collected beautiful Polly she was extremely anxious, not knowing what was going on which is understandable. Polly is needing a home that can exercise her regularly and this I feel is essential as she loves to be out and meeting people and having lots of smells. Polly needs at least one good long walk a day with little walks in between. Since she has been getting lots of walks, her anxiety has improved immensely.

Polly is a typical Cavalier and is needy – you can never sit on your own as Polly loves a cuddle or just sitting next to you. Polly wants company – she needs a family who accept she will be on the furniture and on your bed .this is a none negotiable for her as she won’t listen to being put on her dog bed, she can be willful at times.

Polly does not like crates -she clearly sees crates as negative and I suspect she has spent a lot of time in them previously. Polly can be left for short periods but no longer than an hour or so.

Polly is good with children and other dogs so she could live with another dog or as a only dog. Polly is a very quiet dog, very rarely makes any noise.

Polly is getting better on the lead and she needs continued training with basic commands, but she is picking up what she has to do with the use of little treats. Polly has proved to be a quick learner because she was all over the place on the lead but is already doing really well. She will sit but is so excited will forget herself and try to jump up for the treat!

Polly was a prolific thief when she first arrived but with a definite ‘no!’ she now knows she hasn’t to do it.┬áPolly is a happy, delightful girl who just wants to be loved and doted upon. Polly needs regular reassurance that all is well and will look to you for that, a quick “it’s OK Polly!” usually does the trick.

Polly is a absolute joy who will capture your heart”
