***Riggs is now RESERVED. We are no longer accepting applications for Riggs, thank you***

Riggs is still a puppy at just 14 months old. Riggs melts the heart of everyone he meets, he is super playful and affectionate. He rubs up against you and climbs under legs like he’s a giant cat! He’s a typical bouncy young lad who demands plenty of attention.

Riggs is a special boy who needs some positive reinforcement to prove to him things aren’t as scary as he thinks they are (including the vets). This big fluffy puppy is as strong as an ox and is also very clever! He does know some commands eg sit, paw, wait – although needs to learn some manners as he will grab at a treat.

Riggs has previously lived with children and is good around kids. He might be too bouncy for little kids, so to prevent potential bumps and tumbles, we’ll be looking at homes with older children. Riggs barks at passing dogs but not in an aggressive manner. This might be connected to his confidence issues and lack of early socialisation – plenty of time for him to develop with lots of positive experiences.

He appears to be a ladies pup – he has shown that he favours women over men.
Underneath a boisterous first impression Riggs is a sweet but scared boy. The ideal home for Riggs would be very active and have large breed experience. He is a very strong boy and needs someone willing to persevere with training to help with his confidence and help him overcome his worries.  You will get some great big sloppy kisses in return.

To adopt Riggs, please complete our adoption application form. We welcome applications from across Lancashire but unfortunately we are unable to consider applications from further afield. Homeless Hounds cannot rehome dogs to families with children under the age of 5. Home check and adoption donation applies. Thank you
