Roxy is new to Homeless Hounds and is under assessment. You can still submit your application to adopt Roxy but please be aware that at this stage, we are still getting to know this lovely older girl.

Roxy is known for her cheesy grin and wiggly bum when she greets people she knows! She has such a lovely sweet temperament, she loves belly rubs, treats, toys, she’s easy to walk and travels great in the car. She seems to trust everyone she meets and shows no signs of any neglect or mistreatment in her past.

Roxy is dog friendly and ignores other dogs on a walk. She recently went on a home visit where 2 other dogs were in residence. She was very confident entering the house, making herself at home, lying on the dog bed and playing with their toys! She respected the calm dog, but seemed a little jealous of the livelier of the 2 dogs when they were getting affection and demonstrated some dominant tendancies. We think she may have been the only dog in her previous home. She may be able to live with other dogs, but the dynamics would have to be right, as she naturally likes to be centre of attention.

Roxy is dog friendly outside of the home, but she would prefer a home of her own where she has 100% of the attention from her owner.

Although she’s shown no signs of aggression, we feel if she felt threatened by another dog, she would stick up for herself! She is such a character and would make a wonderful companion for someone. She may be an older lady, but she’s got plenty of fun in her and just wants someone to snuggle up to.
