Amber is an approximately 10 year old staffy who came in to the rescue after her beloved owner sadly passed away. She spent a short time in kennels where she won the hearts of many volunteers on account of her very friendly and sociable nature. She was then lucky enough to find a lovely foster family to take good care of her until she finds her forever home.

Despite her mature years Amber loves her walks and is sociable with other dogs when out and about. She does pull a little on the lead at the outset of her walks but she soon settles down and walks well. She has a little arthritis but this is controlled by regular joint supplements and by keeping her weight down to the recommended level. Amber is house trained but does not bark or otherwise ask to be let out to toilet.

However, provided any owner takes the initiative and lets her out regularly she does not have any accidents in the house. She is a perfect house guest, being very well behaved both in the house and outside in the garden. At night she likes to sleep in her own bed in her owner’s bedroom. Outside, she is a gardener’s delight! She doesn’t dig in the garden or trample on the flower borders.

Amber is good with children and we believe that she could be happily rehomed where any resident children are over 10 years of age. We do not think Amber could live with cats as she has not mixed with any at close quarters and seems to be very tempted to chase any cats she sees outside the home.

To adopt Amber, please complete our adoption application form. We welcome applications from across Lancashire but unfortunately we are unable to consider applications from further afield.
