Homeless Hounds – Dogs in Need

Willow is a stunning 4 year old red long haired dachshund who needs a new owner who is experienced with her breed.

Willow prefers the company of men to women and is anxious around babies and younger children. We are therefore looking for a home where any children or visiting children are over the age of 12.

Willow needs a pet free home. She can be reactive when she first spots other dogs on her walks but so far, she has been happy to meet friendly dogs at close quarters without any issues.

Willow is a lap dog and likes nothing more than a snooze on her human. She is fully housetrained, very affectionate and likes to sleep on her human’s bed. Once asleep Willow allows her human to have an uninterrupted nights sleep.

Willow doesn’t like being left alone for long and can be destructive if left to her own devices. Her fosterer is working on crate training for her so she can be left for a couple of hours without any issues.

Willow will bark if she hears any noises or sees anything out of the window. She is therefore not a suitable dog for anyone living in a flat or apartment where there are neighbours in close proximity.

Willow is a princess and can be somewhat picky about her food.

She is a longer haired dachshund and will need to visit the groomers for attention round her pads, armpits and regular ear inspections.

Homeless Hounds cannot rehome dogs to families with children under the age of 5. Home check and adoption donation applies.
